Look Good Feel Better
Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) is a cosmetology program that helps women with cancer in Ottawa and Peru. This program is free and offered by the American Cancer Society for people undergoing cancer treatment. The mission of the LGFB is to improve self-esteem and quality of life for people undergoing cancer treatment through the use of trained beauty professionals. The Ottawa Location is the Fox River Cancer Center and the Peru location is Valley Radiation Cancer Care on designated Mondays. American Cancer Society’s Patient Resource and Wig Boutique in Streator at St. Mary’s Hospital, 104 Sixth Street, Suite 200, Streator. Free wigs, hats and scarves are available to breast cancer survivors. Shop hours are 9AM to 5PM Mondays and Wednesdays. Phone number: 815-673-5620.

Head Hunter Spa and Salon in Mendota can assist you in choosing and styling a wig in their private fitting room. They offer a selection of wigs in the store. Their stylists have received training in wig fitting and care. The salon can be reached at (815)539-3067 for an appointment or for questions ask for Linda or Leslie.
